Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with five or more years of working experience, who wants to be a part of our office growth and culture. The successful candidate will have a desire to work, grow, and have fun with a multi-discipline engineering team. They are passionate about their craft and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth, diverse experience, and professional excellence.
The successful individual will have a passion for protecting lives from fire risks in the built environment. The ideal candidate will have a fire protection engineering degree and professional experience in fire protection engineering. An engineering degree in other fields (mechanical, architectural, civil, etc.) with working experience in fire protection will also be considered.
Technical skills will include, but may not be limited to, fire and life safety code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant rated construction analysis; automatic suppression system design and analysis; fire detection, alarm and communication system design and analysis; smoke control design and special inspections; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts.
The Denver Fire Protection Engineering department collectively has 50 years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering across our department of seven. We enjoy working together collaboratively in the office while supporting and challenging each other to deliver good engineering work that makes the world a safer place.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000.
